Section 02About John P. Yirku
John P. Yirku ("we," "our," "us") operates as a sole proprietorship offering mental wellness coaching, public speaking, training, and educational content focused on first responders and emergency service professionals. John P. Yirku is the author of the book When the Siren Stops.
John P. Yirku is a veteran first responder with more than 30 years of service in fire rescue, EMS, law enforcement, and corrections. He is a certified coach, peer support advocate, and trauma-informed speaker — but is not a licensed mental health professional, physician, or therapist (see Section 4).

Service availability, pricing, scheduling, and specific terms may change without notice. Engagement details for individual contracts (coaching agreements, speaking contracts, training agreements) are documented separately and govern that specific engagement.
Section 04Not Medical or Clinical Advice
The content, coaching, and information provided by John P. Yirku is for educational, informational, and motivational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical, psychiatric, psychological, or clinical care.
John P. Yirku is a certified coach and trauma-informed speaker — not a licensed mental health professional, physician, psychiatrist, psychologist, or therapist. No coaching, speaking, training, book content, SMS message, email, or website content constitutes medical advice, mental health diagnosis, psychiatric treatment, or therapy.
Specifically, the services and content from John P. Yirku are not a substitute for:
- Medical diagnosis or treatment by a licensed physician
- Mental health therapy or counseling by a licensed clinician
- Psychiatric evaluation or medication management
- Substance use treatment or recovery programs
- Emergency mental health intervention or crisis services

By providing your phone number and checking the SMS consent box on any form on our website, you agree to the following terms governing SMS communications from John P. Yirku.
What You Agree To
- Recurring messages. You agree to receive recurring text messages, including appointment confirmations, follow-ups, coaching information, speaking inquiry coordination, training updates, and resource notifications.
- Message frequency. Message frequency varies based on your interaction with us. We aim to send only relevant, service-related communications.
- Message and data rates. Standard message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply. We do not charge for these messages.
- Voluntary consent. Your consent to receive SMS is entirely voluntary and is not a condition of purchase or service.
- Opt-out. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. After STOP, you will receive a final confirmation message and no further texts.

This SMS program is supported by all major U.S. mobile carriers, including AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Sprint, Boost, MetroPCS, and other carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
